"We Personally Care Drive"

A St. Pius X Outreach To Those Most In Need

The most basic of personal need items cannot be purchased with food stamps.  Every year we have a "We Personally Care Drive" to help provide these basic needs to the most vulnerable and needy in our community.

It can be difficult to look for a job when you do not have a razor, toothpaste, or clean clothes.  It is embarrassing when a child goes to school dirty.  It is sad when you cannot afford diapers for your baby or feminine hygiene products for yourself or your teenager.  It is very humbling to see a person come to Outreach and experience their embarrassment in having to ask for a bar of soap, laundry detergent, or many times, toilet paper.

This year we are teaming up with our High School youth group.  They will be focused on collecting travel size products that they can put into zip lock bags to give to the homeless they see in our community.  (See the * items in our collection list.)

Below is a list of items that are desperately needed.  When you shop for your family, please buy an extra item for the Personal Care Drive.  Items will be collected from the last weekend of January through March.  There are collection bins in the Hospitality Room.

Thank you for all your generous donations; they help make life easier for those struggling to get by with the basic necessities of life.
