Registration for the 2024-2025
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) program is now open!Catechesis of the Good Shepherd"...at the heart of catechesis we find, in essence, a Person, the Person of Jesus of Nazareth, ‘the only Son from the Father...full of grace and truth,’ who suffered and died for us and who now, after rising, is living with us forever." Catechesi Tradendae 5CGS is a method of faith formation for children ages 3 to 12 which uses Scripture and Liturgy to assist the child in -- deepening their existing relationship with God,
- the development of a personal prayer life,
- participation in the Liturgical and Sacramental life of the Church and
- a deeper understanding of Catholic identity and tradition.
For the 2024-2025 formation year, St. Pius X Catholic Church is pleased to offer a Level 1 CGS environment for ages 3-5. Due to a shortage of catechists to assist in the atrium, we only have space for 10 children per session (a total of 20 children overall) and priority will be given to St. Pius X parishioners. Sessions for this year are:- Thursday 10:00am – 11:30am
- Friday 10:00am – 11:30am
CGS sessions begin Thursday, October 17, 2024, and conclude on Friday, May 30, 2025. Class calendars for October – December are located below. Next year calendars will be added to the website once some dates are finalized.To register your child(ren) please click the registration link below. -
