The calling is clear: each Catholic bears the responsibility of responding in Faith to Jesus’ command to “Love the Lord, your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself”. This directive drives the lay apostolate of St. Pius X Church to continue pouring themselves out for others and sharing their God-given gifts of time, talent or treasure in diverse and beautiful ways. Fueled by their love of God and nourished by His Body and Blood at weekly Mass, parishioners set out and serve their neighbor in a myriad of ways.
In additional to offering corporal works for mercy through that myriad of ways (see the "other corporal works of mercy" page), St. Pius X has several Missions through which parishioners live out their lives in Christ. These Missions generally are defined as such because in them you'll find parishioners:

The Pope St. Pius Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was founded in the Fall of 2017 and has really hit the ground running. All the legal bylaws and paperwork and our 501 c 3 status are on the books, logistical practices are all now well established, and our Vincentians spend each week taking calls and visiting those in need in their homes or wherever the need demands. Well supplied by the food pantry, personal care products drives and financial support of parishioners, Vincentians exercise the call of the lay apostolate doing these “home visits” or one of the many jobs needed to support those visits.
Our legacy "outreach" programs including food pantry and the collection and distribution of personal care products are still going strong thanks to the generosity of our parishioners and are a part of our SSVDP conference.

St. Pius X Church continues to support the families of Consolacion, Honduras. Over the last two years, we’ve built a Kindergarten, supplied their school, delivered Christmas food and gifts, secured surgeries for kids and celebrated a number of local festivals and events with the 82 families in the village. We’ll finish the 2018-19 program year this July with a follow-up visit checking the progress chapel renovations, doing the annual resupply of the school and continuing to deepen our relationship with Jesus and these Christian brothers and sisters of ours. A highlight of our visit this year will be Father Flores and Deacon Chris celebrating sacraments (primarily Baptism and First Communion) with the kids.
